Seattle Game Designer Jackson "GreenShamanCowboy" Taylor Making Waves in the Indie Scene.

Jackson Taylor, the creative force behind Delve Games and known online as the "GreenShamanCowboy," is making a serious impact on the indie gaming scene with his latest release, "Jackson Taylor's War Wolf." This action-packed video game throws players into a world of ferocious war combat with a unique twist: fully destructible terrain.

"War Wolf" isn't your typical strategy game. Players will command a Lone Wolf in an endless war, fighting for territory in a dynamic environment where the very landscape can be completely destroyed. "I wanted to create a visceral, immersive experience," explains Taylor in an interview. "What I got was one of the most intense 2D projects I have ever seen. The destructible terrain adds a whole new layer of strategy. And that is what Delve Games is all about! Strategy, and battle tactics. My original idea was that players can collapse cliffs on their enemies, dig tunnels for ambushes, or even divert rivers to disrupt their opponents. That unfortunately was not a possibility with my current equipment and knowledge. After all, I am making War Wolf entirely on my own, and I have a deadline of two months to finish the project. And I promise, one day War Wolf will be in full 3D on video game consoles."

But Taylor's journey didn't start with digital wolves. His first foray into game design was "Haderact," an innovative chess variant that adds a captivating layer of complexity to the classic game. "Haderact uses two boards, dice, and a deck of cards to introduce elements of chaos and chance," says Taylor. "It forces players to think in new ways and adapt to constantly shifting circumstances. it is truly a war simulator, it's the ultimate reboot to Chess."

This early experience with "Haderact" clearly shaped Taylor's approach to game design, emphasizing both strategic depth and unpredictable elements. "I love games that keep you frosty." he explains. "That sense of surprise and the need to adapt is what makes gaming truly exciting, and challenging."

With "War Wolf" gaining traction online and a dedicated community growing around it, Taylor is already looking ahead. "I have a lot of ideas brewing," he says with a grin. "Expect more innovative and exciting games from Delve Games in the future. I am personally very excited for Blackspire: DeadWalk the most."

Jackson Taylor AKA the "GreenShamanCowboy" is definitely a name to remember in the indie game development world. His unique blend of strategic gameplay, innovative mechanics, and captivating worlds is sure to keep players howling for more.
